SANDOWAY

At Sandoway, you will find interactive educational exhibits and programs designed to inspire the minds of young children, future botanists, oceanographers, marine biologists and researchers.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Sandoway provides educational programs for
public, private and homeschool groups.
*Due to COVID-19 some rules and restrictions apply
We require a 10:1 ratio of students to adults for school groups. These adult chaperones that meet our ratio requirement are FREE of charge and any additional adults attending the program will be charged a program fee of $6.00 each. Programs vary from 1-2 hours long, and we require a minimum of 10 participants or a $60 fee minimum.

Shell stories & Touch tank
Field Trip Only!
Learn about marine invertebrate characteristics, adaptations, functions, development, conservation and more through live marine invertebrates in our interactive touch tank (field trips only). The program also includes a tour of our world class shell collection as well as a shark feeding presentation. Students get a chance to see and hold mermaids purses, shells, sand dollars, egg cases and more!
